The nesco is a perfect jerky making product. I like that you can put the meat in and walk away. A couple of negatives about the product. The trays are too large to fit in the dish washer (instructions state that you do it, just not on heated dry) and I have to put it in another room when we are making jerky b/c it is rather noisey (sounds like a hair-dryer partially muffled under a towel). The positives, well, it has already paid for itself with the amount of jerky we have made. The seasoning packs and can be re-ordered at any time (about $1.20/lb of jerky) which is, in my opinion, cheaper than getting all the ingredients measuring, mixing, etc... This product is definitely worth the purchase if you are any type of Jerky fan.
