These chopping blocks are made from end-cut rubberwood. End-cut provides the hardest, most durable surface. It consists of many squares of crosswise-cut pieces glued together to create a stable surface that won't warp. Rubberwood is cut at the end of a latex producing tree's life- approximately 30 years. When the tree is cut and harvested for timber use, a new tree is planted in its place. Rubberwood is widely recognized as a sustainable and environmentally friendly timber resource.
