About Rubberwood Rubberwood is cut at the end of the latex-producing tree's life-approximately 30 years. When the tree is cut and harvested for timber use, a new tree is planted in its place. Rubberwood is widely recognized as a sustainable and environmentally friendly timber resource. USE & CARE INSTRUCTIONS Before first use, scrub thoroughly with hot water and soap. Use food grade mineral oil to "season" the board # once a day for the first week # once a week for the first month # once a month after that or as needed Always clean the cutting surface after the board comes into contact with food - especially raw meat or poultry.
